New years. 2007

well it is time to make some changes for the best. And what better time than the new year. It is kinda nice to think you can start over. Well there was a line in a movie I watched the other night " you can't fail it never stop trying" So as much as I hate scales especially when I know I'm not fit. I got on it so I would have a starting place. 201.2 lbs. . I would so rather weigh myself in stones that way I would be like six stones and a few pebbles. Very flinstone. My bodyfat is 16.5% so since Nov. I gained 5lbs and 1.5% fat. I was eating what ever I wanted and drinking a lot.
a lot a lot. So we will see what can be done. I'm planning on biking to south Carolina in April so I need to be fit for that. I'm signing up for the gym tomorrow, learning to swim, taking swimming classes and spinning classes and rowing classes. And still running I did 4.5 miles today in the freezing rain. Well to the future.

Heya Heath,
Good to read you online again and even better to see that you're getting your butt out to run. I've had a lllaaaazzzzyyy December. Took 2-weeks post-Skyrun to chill out and then ended up taking the rest of the month to do next to nothing as I've been battling with gastro. Been to the doc, got drugs and feeling better. I kicked off the New Year with a run on the 1 Jan. I've got about 4 road races diarised for this month (10km's - 21km's) and may to a marathon (my second ever official road marathon) in early Feb. Road runs are motivating and should give me the kick on the butt I need ;)
Aside from this past month of laziness (my longest bout of laziness in 15-years; though I did do 2 runs and a mtb ride these past two weeks) I'm raring to go and looking forward to a sporting, fit and healthy 2007.
I wish the same to you. When you're feeling lazy to get out, just remember how good you're going to feel post-run ;)
Love and thoughts,
Lisa
